Want to Play a Sport?

2018-19 Athletic Start Dates:

Fall = August 3rd

Winter = October 29

Spring = January 28

In order to be cleared for each sport, you MUST complete the following 3 steps.

1. Complete physical exam part 1 and 2:

  ***All physical forms must be completed by a parent and doctor prior to the start date of your sport. The state of CA only accepts physicals that are signed, stamped and dated from a MD, DO, or PA.  NP and RN signed physicals are not currently allowed.***

2.  Digital registration must be completed via : www.athleticclearance.com 

Registration for all seasons is currently open.  Parents and their athletes will need to visit the site, create an account, and register for each sport they plan to play.  

:::IMPORTANT NOTE:::

Please do not register for “All Sports”.  Register for only the sports you intend to play.  You can always log back in and add sports at a later time if you are undecided.

3.  Preseason concussion baseline testing.  

ALL athletes will need to complete and pass a concussion baseline test, on campus prior to tryouts on designated months. The test takes about 35 minutes to complete. More information regarding the testing schedule will become available soon.

Fall – May and August 

FALL ATHLETIC CLEARANCE AND CONCUSSION BASELINE TESTING WILL BE OFFERED:

August 2nd from 10am-2pm in the library

August 3rd from 10am-2pm in the library

***ALL those interested in a fall sport must attend one of these sessions to get cleared.***

OUT OF TOWN FOLLOW UP DATES/TIMES:

Aug 6 through Aug 17th

Tuesdays and Thursdays =  Make up clearance sessions held from 4 – 5:30PM

                *Javier Margarito’s first priority is to address the needs of cleared athletes (injury or injury prevention), so be prepared to wait for him to have an opening.

                *Meet outside the athletic training room (located next to the pool across from the entrance to the football stadium

 

August 20th (first day of school)

                -Concussion baseline testing and clearances will take place at lunch in C206 with the athletic director, Mr. Bonacorsi all week

Winter – October

Spring – January

***Please take this test seriously as it will be used as your baseline to evaluate possible concussion symptoms in the event of an injury. If this test is not completed prior to the start of your season, you will be held out of all live contact until it is done and logged.***
